Kids Helping Give Hope to the Homeless
Meet Katie, Juju and Maya, who have joined Healthy Monkey this year for our Homeless Donation Drop. These
kids are determined to give hope to the homeless by giving their time and effort to help healthy monkey raise money and basic supplies for the homeless in Vancouver.
An estimated 157,000 people are homeless each year in Canada. Chronic homelessness is deadly, resulting in an estimated 1,350 people dying each year – half the number of Canadians killed in car accidents.
There are many people with the resources to help but who refuse to help our homeless in Vancouver because some are drug users. Abuse and addiction are real issues that require treatment and counselling, something those who are the most vulnerable often don’t have access to when they need it the most.
You can give hope to those in need and make a difference.
